For whom is Christie named?

Christie honors native Planonian, conservationist, and hardware dealer Charles Mott Christie, born just three miles north of the school site. After almost 20 years in West Texas, Christie and his family moved back to Plano, where he opened a hardware and implement business, helping to mechanize area farms... His descendant C.J. Christie served on the School Board from 1953-1960.

When was Christie built?

Christie was built in 1973 for $915,225. The school had an addition in 1976, and had its classrooms modified in 1991. In 1996, the school underwent a major renovation to modernize the building and bring it online.
